Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine
The Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Department at Student Life Student Health Services (SLSHS) offers evaluation, treatment and education for a variety of conditions and injuries, both acute and chronic.
A signed and dated prescription is needed from a physician (MD, DO), physician's assistant (PA), nurse practitioners (NP), dentist (DDS) or podiatrist (DPM).
Treatments include:
- Rehabilitation for pre and post-operative surgery
- Postural issues
- Back and neck pain
- Sprains and strains
- Sport injuries
Evaluation Appointment
The first visit will be a one-hour evaluation to identify what may be causing the problem and to formulate a rehabilitation plan of care.
At the completion of this appointment, the therapist will let you know if an additional appointment is needed.

Follow-Up Appointment
Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes and include exercises, manual therapy and education.

Physical Therapy appointments must be canceled at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time.
Appointments canceled less than 24 hours or patients that are late will be assessed a missed appointment fee.
