FAQ's

Do you charge for missed appointments?
There is a missed appointment fee for any appointment not canceled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time.

How often should I have a cleaning?
Dental cleaning is recommended every 6 months. Some patients may require more or less frequent visits.

Is there a treatment for sensitive teeth?
Yes. Sensitive teeth often result from cavities, worn fillings or exposed root surfaces due to gum recession or through the loss of enamel. Toothpaste for sensitive teeth can reduce or relieve sensitivity. Other treatment options may be recommended by a dentist through a comprehensive exam.

Why do I need to have my wisdom teeth evaluated?
To prevent acute problems with pain, infection and cavities, a thorough dental exam and x-rays (panorex) are recommended to fully evaluate each patient's condition.

My teeth and jaw hurt and sometimes I get headaches. Is this a dental problem?
Often clenching and/or grinding of teeth can cause these symptoms associated with temporomandibular joint dysfunction. Clinical symptoms include wear on the teeth biting surface, clicking, popping or pain of the jaw upon opening, headaches, neck and shoulder pain. A thorough dental exam is recommended.
