Office of Student Life

Accredited by Joint Commission

The Wilce Student Health Center has been nationally accredited by the Joint Commission since 1982. Joint Commission accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards.

The Joint Commission conducts vigorous unannounced on-site accreditation surveys to review the quality and safety of care being provided by The Ohio State University Office Student Life Student Health Services.

The purpose of these surveys is to evaluate compliance with nationally established Joint Commission standards. Survey results are used to determine whether, and the conditions under which, accreditation should be awarded the organization.

If you have a safety or quality concern, you are encouraged to call the Patient Advocate at 614-247-1834 or e-mail shs@osu.edu.

If your safety or quality concerns have not been addressed to your satisfaction, contact the Joint Commission at 1-800-994-6610 or via e-mail at complaint@jointcommission.org.
